I want to create some entries with the "fold" in them. But I have no freakin' clue how to edit the HTML. Can anybody help?

Not sure if that's actually an HMTL thing or specific coding depending on what blog engine you're using.

Copy your template and save it to a text file BEFORE modifying anything. If something goes screwy, you can always delete the modified template and copy the old one back.
Hope this helps. I haven't done much Blogger template hacking, most of my experience is on Movable Type and Wordpress.

Well, here's a clumsy workaround:
Post the full post, and backdate it for several months ago so that it doesn't show on your front page.
Post the top half of the post dated today, then put a link on the bottom of your post that says "extended entry" that's linked to your backdated post.

If you don't want the full post polluting your archives, you could create a second blog just for extended entries, and just import your template to it so that it looks the same as your main blog.
