HTML Help

I want to create some entries with the "fold" in them. But I have no freakin' clue how to edit the HTML. Can anybody help?

Major Changes

Holy Hell.

What has happened in the last three days?

I feel like I just woke up out of a coma.


First off. You may have noticed a slightly different look on the Horn. With everything that has happened since yesterday, I felt a change was needed. And I think they are for the better. First, the header picture. This is a photo I took last November at the Fort Obie Turkey Shoot. While it is no Oleg Volk, I like it and think it is fitting. There are plans for this to change again later this spring, when my new custom scrimshawed powderhorn arrives and I finish one or both of the custom flintlocks I am working on. I have a vision of what it will look like, but I may have to enlist Mr. Volk to take the photo.

Second, as of 10:15 Thursday, I am no longer an orphan lost wandering in space. I was adopted into the Bad Example Family (WARNING-Trying to follow the Family History WILL give you a headache). Grandpa Harvey (the Family Patriarch) is also responsible for the providing the information that I used to start this wayward venture. Go read the adoption announcement. It includes a nice little stroll down memory lane.

Also, since big daddy is Contagion, there is also inclusion in the Frizzen Sparks Family.

Blogrolls for the Bad Example Family and Frizzen Sparks Family are now located on the sidebar.

And Finally.

He who I hoped to emulate, and have failed miserably, has resurrected himself in an all new Less Commie More Orgy v3.0.

Yes, Sports Fans, Graumagus is BACK. Frizzensparks LIVES. You'll laugh, you'll cry from laughing, and you will be ENLIGHTENED in ways that I could never even come close. The most important thing, is get your ass over there and read. A lot. HOWEVER, please keep in mind that some of it may contain passionate language and stupidity hate. If you are easily offended by reason that has nothing to do with you, you will end up crying.

Blogroll Updated!

I finally got my blogroll updated!!!

Something that has needed to be done for months. I removed some old links that didn't work anymore, updated some that had changed URL's, and change formats.

Previously, I had been using Blogrolling, but their software has been screwed up for months, and Blogger came out with this great thing where it actually will tell you went blogs were last posted to-which is a time saver for me, as I would normally go through every single site in the roll.


Also, I added one new link. On Second Opinion is a blog written by David E. Young, a Constitutional Scholar and authority on the original intent of the 2nd Amendment. He edited The Origin of the Second Amendment, which was cited 6 times in the majority opinion of D.C. v. Heller. When he talks, we all need to listen and learn.

Weekend

Thanksgiving was good. Small family gathering. Parents, grandmothers, Aunt, Uncle and Cousin to be. Watched some football. Played some guitar. Good Day.

Worked today. Crappy day.

Tomorrow?
Turkey Shoot at Fort Obie. Muzzleloading Rifles, Smoothbores, and Longbows. I am running the bow match.

Arts Council Coffeehouse in the evening.

Probably goose hunting Sunday.

Blogroll Update

As soon I can figure out why I can't get into my BlogRolling account, I am going to be updating the listing at the right of blogs I regularly read.

1. Home on the Range. I may be in love. A good looking red-headed Celtic gal who likes to shoot and cook. You'll leave hungry and trigger happy.

2. On Tap. This blog has three great authors. Cam Edwards-A radio talk show host of Cam and Company on NRANEWS.com and Patriot 144 on Sirius Satellite radio. The second is Jim Geraghty, a professional blogger, and third Marshall Manson, a political consultant. I used to watch Cam Edwards on the live webcast, but got out of the habit when job locations and their schedule changed.

3. Arts & Ammo: High Caliber Culture. Defending Western Culture and traditions through a rational discussion of the arts (emphasis on durable music) with unavoidable references to politics, religion, law, ranching, and the quest for a good martini.

All of them hit at least some on the 2nd Amendment and Gun Rights. Go and read.

Trekking

I know I promised an explanation of how I was run over by a train, but it has just been a hectic week.

Monday night I ended up working 'til 8:00pm and by the time I checked e-mail and put up the Great Music Monday, all I wanted to do was go to sleep.

Tuesday and Wednesday nights were completely used up creating Ye Old Catfish Report for the ONW Co. Tuesday was writing, layouts, and re-typing articles. Wednesday night was finishing my monthly column and then running copies, address labeling, stamps, folding, and sealing. By the time that was done, all I could do was drag myself up the stairs.

Tonight, after an executive meeting at work from about 4:15 til 5:15, I had to come home and do all of my organizing and packing for this weekend's squirrel hunting trek. Finally, I got to sit down at the computer, and check e-mail and such.

Tomorrow morning is making Scotch eggs first and then on to the trek.

Hopefully I can post a recap of the trek and give the explanation Sunday night.

I have been remiss it something. Updating my Blogroll (see right sidebar for "Blogs I Read," and I do, usually every day, or every other day).


So, I have updated and added 4 new links that are on the daily rounds.

1. Война, войны изменения никогда... a.k.a. Evil People, Inc. This is a personal blog of one of my best friends who just graduated film school in Florida. Mostly just life stuff, but some really funny stuff, too.

2. Q.C. Examiner- A political blog from the Quad Cities, dealing with local issues, Illinois Government BS, and the "Specially Selected Congressman." I ended up at this one after they found me following a rant about Rep. Hare-the Specially Selected Congressman for the 17th District in Illinois.

3. Days of our Trailers*- A political/gun blog, with one of the authors being from Illinois. Part of the "Unorganized Militia Propaganda Corp," which I am going to have to do some looking into.

4. The Michael Bane Blog- If you ever watch the Outdoor Channel on Wednesday nights, you should have seen Michael Bane. He is the host of "Shooting Gallery" which is a really great show, that I unfortunately haven't gotten to watch since I came back from Iowa 15 months ago, and "Cowboys" which covers all sorts of aspects of the old and new west. Both really good shows. But anyway, his blog is loaded with, again, politics and guns (does anyone else see a pattern here).

So go out and enjoy the reading (and don't forget the rest of the blogroll, loaded with lots of interesting stuff...



...at least it is interesting to me).

This afternoon marked the 1,000th Visitor to this blog. Took just a little over 2 months.

Man's '91 pickup passes the 1M-mile mark

I have been pretty much a die-hard Chevy guy most of my life. For 2 years I did own a Dodge Ram while I was in college, but my other 3 trucks have all been Chevy's. Currently, I drive a 2005 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 with a topper on it. I bought the truck new in August 2005 with <400 miles on it. And either today or tomorrow I will roll over 75,000 miles. My commute to and from work logs 100 miles a day.

I will give Ford credit for one thing though.

Interesting Search

While being vain and looking at my sitemeter to see where all of you my readers are visiting from and how you got here, I found a visitor from Austin, Texas who came via a Google Blog Search. I won't pretend to know why anyone would search the term "petey obama" but this person did, and the Powderhorn came up as the #1 return.

That is actually a little scary. But kinda cool, too.

So, whomever you are in Austin, thanks for the visit.

And thanks to all of you who stop by for a trip into my mind. It really does fuel my ego.
